The Pacific Sea Nettle jellyfish (Chrysaora fuscescens)

The Pacific Sea Nettle jellyfish (Chrysaora fuscescens) has a beautiful red colour and is suitable for bigger aquariums. They come from our own breed.

The Pacific Sea Nettle jellyfish are very popular for home aquariums mainly because of their specific colours.

The Pacific Sea Nettles are beautiful jellyfish with their bell coloured yellow to reddish-brown. Their bell can grow up to 50 cm. Four tentacles in the middle are coloured from yellow to chestnut red and can be up to 4.5 cm long. Small tentacles alongside the bell are mostly of red colour. Because of their adaptability and beautiful colours, they are very popular for breeding in aquariums. The Pacific Sea Nettles feed of phytoplankton and also small animals that they can catch with their tentacles and then put into their mouths, where the food is dissolved by enzymes and necessary nutrients are absorbed. This kind of jellyfish is also the one from our offer, which stings. After being stung, a rash can appear, but in most cases there is no need to visit a doctor.
